This pump is used in various pressure vessels, boilers, fittings, etc., where pressure tests and strength tests are required. It can perform pressure tests at specified pressure values and can automatically maintain pressure. With cleaning attachments, this machine can also be used as a cleaning machine. The medium conveyed by the pump is generally normal temperature clean water, but emulsions, rust-proof water, and neutral oils with viscosity similar to water can also be used.

Applications

  This pump is used in various pressure vessels, boilers, pipe fittings, and other places that require pressure testing and strength testing. The pressure testing value can be set as needed, and it can automatically maintain pressure. With cleaning attachments, this machine can also be used as a cleaning machine. The medium transported by the pump is generally clean water at room temperature, but emulsions, rust-proof water, and neutral oils with viscosity similar to water can also be used.

  The pressure test pump system is a non-standard custom-made device, and each customer's industry needs vary greatly, so the control system of the pressure test pump will naturally be different. It generally has the following functions: (1) Manual or automatic pressurization function. (2) The pressure testing range can set segmented testing procedures; during pressurization, the system will automatically increase pressure, stop, and maintain pressure. (3) The system has an automatic unloading function, with automatic unloading of the container, emergency stop, and overpressure automatic unloading functions. (4) The preset pressure maintenance time during the pressure test can be freely set. (5) It has real-time pressure display, curve display, time display, working status display, etc. (6) The system has pressure setting, calibration, and software zero correction functions. (7) It has functions for system overpressure, fault status feedback, etc. (8) It has the function of automatically determining the pressure maintenance state of the tested container during the pressure maintenance phase.

  Main structure and working principle: This product is a horizontal double-cylinder reciprocating pump. It consists of major components such as a motor, gearbox, transmission box, water tank, collector, safety valve, and water tank.

The pump is mounted on the water tank cover, and there are four rollers under the water tank, allowing the pump to move flexibly. The motor is connected to the gearbox by two half couplings. The gear ratio of the worm shaft and worm in the gearbox is 2:55. The worm shaft has eccentric shafts at both ends that are 180° apart, which convert the rotational motion into the reciprocating motion of the slider and crosshead through the sliding mechanism in the transmission box on both sides. The piston mounted on the crosshead performs reciprocating motion in the water tank, achieving the alternating suction and discharge process of the pump.

Under the reciprocating action of the piston, the working volume in the two water tanks forms a periodic change. When the piston is in the suction stroke, the outlet valve is closed, and as the working volume of the water tank increases, a vacuum is formed inside the cylinder. The working medium in the water tank enters the cylinder under atmospheric pressure through the filter, inlet pipe, and opens the inlet valve. When the piston is in the discharge stroke, the inlet valve is closed, and the outlet valve is forced open. The piston pushes the working medium through the outlet valve into the collector, delivering it to the test container for pressure testing.

The collector is the control hub of the pump, serving control, measurement, and protection functions. The collector is equipped with a safety valve, drain valve, and working joints for connecting output pipes and pressure gauge joints.

The safety valve is the overload protection device for the hydraulic end of this pump and is adjusted before leaving the factory.

  Usage and Precautions

1.   Usage

a. Add enough lubricating oil to the gearbox, ensuring the oil level reaches the marked height on the oil gauge. The lubricating oil should be N68 mechanical oil (equivalent to the old brand 50 mechanical oil). Add N46 mechanical oil (equivalent to the old brand 30 mechanical oil) to the piston box, ensuring the oil level reaches the center height of the piston.

b. Check for any looseness in the connecting bolts of each transmission part.

c. Check whether the water tank is filled with enough room temperature transport medium. The medium should reach the upper limit of the water gauge.

d. Rotate the belt pulley a few times to check for any obstruction or collision during the operation of the machine, and also check for any looseness in the sealing pressure nuts.

e. Connect the tested device to this system properly.

f. Open the manual unloading valve, start the pump for normal pressure operation for a few minutes, and after normal operation, close the unloading valve to start pressurization.

g. When the system pressure reaches the required pressure, stop the machine,   and the system will perform a pressure maintenance test.

2. Precautions

a. The range of the pressure gauge should not be less than 1.5 times the test pressure. According to relevant requirements, users are requested to check the pressure gauge before use.

b. Strictly follow the requirements of the operating process.

c. Before pressurizing the test container, all gases in the tested container must be exhausted.

d. During the pressurization test, do not exceed the rated working pressure of this pump.

e. The pump and pipeline should be installed in a room with protective equipment.

f. It is strictly prohibited to install or disassemble attachments and perform maintenance under high pressure; this must be done after stopping and unloading.

g. If there are any abnormalities during the operation of the pump, it should be stopped immediately, and it can only be operated after troubleshooting.

  Maintenance and Care

1. The lubricating oil should be changed once after the pump has been in operation for one month, and then every six months regularly, while cleaning the crankcase.

2. The lubricating oil and the pressure testing medium in the water tank must be kept clean, and no dirt or other debris is allowed.

3. Pumps that have been stopped for more than a week should be operated once under normal pressure every week, with each operation lasting no less than 5 minutes.

4. When the high-pressure pump is not used for a long time, all liquid remaining in the pump should be drained, and all parts should be cleaned and coated with anti-rust oil.
