The electric pressure testing pump (hereinafter referred to as the pressure testing pump) produced by our company is suitable for water or hydraulic oil as the medium, used for pressure testing of various pressure vessels, pipelines, valves, etc. It is also used as hydraulic energy to provide the required pressure, suitable for industries such as chemical, construction, plumbing, petroleum, coal, metallurgy, shipbuilding, and more.

The electric pressure testing pump produced by our company (hereinafter referred to as the pressure testing pump) is suitable for water or hydraulic oil as the medium, used for pressure testing of various pressure vessels, pipelines, valves, etc., and also used as hydraulic energy to provide the required pressure, suitable for industries such as chemical, construction, plumbing, petroleum, coal, metallurgy, shipbuilding, etc.  

Features of the electric pressure testing pump: The electric pressure testing pump developed and produced by our factory can be used in various pressure vessels, boilers, pipe fittings, etc., that require pressure testing and strength testing. The testing pressure value can be adjusted as needed, and it can maintain pressure automatically. The medium delivered by the pump is generally clean water at room temperature, and can also use emulsified liquid, rust-proof water, and neutral oils with viscosity similar to water. It is a replacement product for the current two-cylinder and four-cylinder electric pressure testing pumps. This product has characteristics such as small size, compact structure, stable operation, safety and reliability, complete functions, large flow, and high efficiency, and it has a wide range of applications, strong compatibility, and simple operation.

Structural description

The pump is driven by an electric motor through an elastic coupling to the worm gear pair. Two eccentric wheels are installed on the worm shaft, which converts the rotary motion into the reciprocating motion of the plunger through the action of the guide and the slider. Four plungers are connected to the guide, and four water cylinders are fixed on both sides of the gearbox to maintain stability in a left-right symmetrical arrangement. The gearbox base is mounted on the water tank, and the lower part of the water tank is equipped with four iron wheels for mobility. The pump interface is equipped with a safety valve, which can adjust the pressure value to 2-3.5Mpa. When the test pressure exceeds the specified value, the safety valve can open automatically to prevent accidents.

Usage method

1. Installation after unpacking

(1) Install the rollers. Place the four rollers on the axle (with washer 20 on both sides of the roller) and insert the cotter pin.

(2) Install the safety valve. Unscrew the plug on the collector, and install the safety valve in the safety valve joint M14×1.5—5H hole of the collector (note to add copper washer 6).

(3) Install the pressure gauge. Screw the pressure gauge into the adjacent pressure gauge joint nut, orienting the face for easy observation. The value of the pressure gauge should be equivalent to 1.2-1.5 times the rated pressure of the pump.

2. Usage method

(1) Preparatory work before use:

① Add sufficient lubricating oil to the gearbox, so that the oil level reaches the upper limit of the oil mark or slightly lower. The lubricating oil is black gear oil (SYB1103-62S). ② Inject No. 30 mechanical oil (GB443-64) into the two side drive boxes according to the oil mark, and the oil level should be slightly higher than the lower guide rail surface of the crosshead. Long-term continuous use should pay attention to replenishment.

③ Check whether all fastening bolts are loose.

Connect the test container pipeline to the working joint of the collector.

(2) Precautions during use:

① The oil temperature in the gearbox should not exceed 80℃.

② If obvious leakage is found in the pump or other parts during operation, it should be eliminated in time.

③ If the volume of the test container is very small and the pressure rises too quickly, multiple test containers can be connected together for pressure testing, or the water valve can be slightly opened to reduce the pressure rise speed.

④ During the pressure rise process, if the pressure gauge pointer swings too much, it indicates that the volume of the user's test piece is too small. At this time, connect a pressure container with capacity or other corresponding energy storage devices in the system.

⑤ If the volume of the test piece is larger, continuous operation can be used to increase pressure, and when approaching the test pressure, it can be incrementally increased. During operation, closely monitor the system pressure to avoid accidental overpressure.

⑥ If accidental overpressure occurs, the water valve can be opened to relieve some pressure before re-pressurizing.

(3) Operating steps

①  Open the water discharge valve.

② Start the motor, run for 5 minutes at normal pressure, and check whether the pump operates normally. If there are no abnormal sounds or blockages, the suction and discharge conditions are normal, and the working medium discharged by the pump has no obvious fluctuations, the water discharge valve can be closed, and the pump can be started for pressure testing.

③ When the discharge pressure of the pump reaches or approaches the required pressure value, it should stop.

(4) Connection size of the pressure testing pump:

On the center line of the collector of the pump, at a height of 770 millimeters from the ground, there is a working joint. Relevant sizes are shown in Figure 2, please arrange the connecting pipeline according to this size.

(3) Operating steps

① Open the water discharge valve.

② Start the motor, run for 5 minutes at normal pressure, and check whether the pump operates normally. If there are no abnormal sounds or blockages, the suction and discharge conditions are normal, and the working medium discharged by the pump has no obvious fluctuations, the water discharge valve can be closed, and the pump can be started for pressure testing.

③ When the discharge pressure of the pump reaches or approaches the required pressure value, it should stop, close the shut-off valve, and open the water discharge valve to isolate the pump from the test container, keeping the test container in a pressure-holding state. If the test container does not need to hold pressure, it can stop without closing the shut-off valve.

④ After the pressure test is completed, open the shut-off valve and water discharge valve to relieve pressure, and return the working medium to the water tank.

Maintenance of the pressure testing pump

1. The machine's outer shell should be kept clean.

2. The water tank should be cleaned before adding clean water, and it is not allowed to store dirt or other debris inside the tank.

3. The lubricating oil added to the gearbox should be gear oil, using HL-20 in winter and HL-30 in summer.

4. The new pressure testing pump should change oil every 30 hours as needed. After two oil changes, the time can be gradually extended to once every 500 hours.

5. When replacing the leather gasket, the leather gasket should be soaked in linseed oil in advance.

6. If the machine is stopped for a long time, the water should be drained, and all un-oiled areas on the machine's exterior should be coated with machine oil. The safety valve should be disassembled, all parts wiped dry, and then coated with machine oil before reassembling.

7. If parked for a long time, oil seal oil or industrial petroleum jelly should be applied to the unpainted processing surfaces of parts such as the plunger, guide rod, water cylinder, and safety valve.

8. When using the pressure testing pump outdoors, if winter or changes in climate reach freezing point, appropriate antifreeze should be used for filling the water tank.
