Two, Main Structure and Working Principle of the Pressure Pump

This machine mainly consists of a high-pressure testing pump, overflow valve (this component is not present for specifications above 40Mpa), check valve, high-pressure hose, etc.

1. High-pressure reciprocating pump: This pump is a horizontal three-plunger pump driven by a motor, divided into a power end and a hydraulic end.

(1) Power end: Composed of a pulley, crankshaft, connecting rod, etc. The motor drives the pulley to reduce speed, causing the crankshaft to rotate, which converts the rotational motion into linear reciprocating motion through the crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, driving the plunger to reciprocate.

(2) Hydraulic end: Composed of plunger assembly, cylinder body, pump head, inlet and outlet valve group, safety valve, etc. The connecting rod drives the plunger to reciprocate, causing periodic changes in the volume inside the cylinder body. When the plunger is in the suction stroke, the outlet valve closes, and the working medium enters the cylinder body through the inlet valve under atmospheric pressure; during the discharge stroke, the inlet valve closes, and the plunger discharges the working medium through the outlet valve and out of the pump head. This process is repeated periodically, completing the function of the pump to suck in and discharge the working medium.

2. The overflow valve is used to adjust the pump's output pressure and maintain constant system pressure.

By rotating the adjustment nut clockwise, the pump's output pressure increases; conversely, the output pressure decreases. When performing pressure maintenance tests, after the system pressure reaches the set pressure value, the adjustment nut should be rotated counterclockwise to fully open the overflow valve to relieve the pump's discharge pressure. When the user needs constant pressure output, simply set the pressure to the desired value and tighten the locking nut.

3. The check valve is used to automatically cut off pressure maintenance and relieve system pressure.

After the pressure maintenance test is completed, open the pressure relief valve handwheel to relieve the system pressure. During the pressure increase process, if an incorrect operation causes the system pressure to exceed the set value, the pressure relief valve handwheel can be opened slightly to relieve some pressure before re-pressurizing. A pressure gauge is installed on this valve, displaying the pressure of the pressure testing pipeline during both the pressure increase and pressure maintenance processes.
